I’m a father, a web developer, a fisherman, a former wrestler and soccer player, and a (fairly bad) poker player. I love what I do for a living, and I love my family. I don’t believe in working hard and playing hard, I believe in having fun while I work. Below are the boring “standard introduction” details about me.

Normal family life growing up: brother, mom and dad still together, they both worked full time. I was active in sports (soccer and wrestling), got good grades, and had good friends. We moved around a lot when I was in high school and college, I went to 3 high schools and 3 colleges before graduating from Virginia Tech. I thought I would be a teacher when I grew up, but that didn’t pan out, and after stumbling through a few sales jobs I discovered how much fun it was to build web sites. I went back to school while working full time and helping my wife raise our two sons (we have now added a daughter to the mix), and I’ve been honing my skills ever since.

What else? I’m fun, I’m easy going, but I’m not afraid to work hard. I’m neither rich nor poor, I’m politically left of center, and I’m spiritual, but not religious. I enjoy keeping up with web technology, but I don’t have to have the latest and greatest gadgets. I use a PC, and I’ve never heard one good reason to stop. Besides, all those Mac commercials are too smarmy for my tastes.
